Tuesday afternoon - finally a break in the weather -
Met Capt Jay, Jimmy and his two brothers at the dock at 11:30am - Jimmy turns 50 this week - so a birthday fishing trip was in order.
Ran out at 42mph - a little rougher than expected but certainly fishable -
Lines in just north of the GT hole - non stop action - fish galore, lots of double hook-ups - problem was they were NON TABLE FARE - Big bonita, reef donkeys and a HUGE shark that ate my bird and green machine. We were able to bring 17 fish boat side. We had 7 rods hooked up at one time - even more exciting when one turned out to be a nice black fin. We picked up one more solo black fin, then back to the hill at 52 mph - arriving home in time for supper at 6:45pm. Water temp was 72.6.
Great day, surprised we didnt get any HOOS or more black fin -
Saw you guys when u were comin out. You slowed down right there at us. Needless to say we didnt run that fast going out but the ocean was much better when you got there than it was at 730 am. The lil Triton got us there though. Sconyers and Englis said I was fishing in a dingy. Glad y’all had fun and great pictures
Thanks for the kind words - 23Sailfish is correct - I use a technique called High Dynamic Range - Its a whole process, starting with camera, lens, filters, bracketing exposures, iphoto, photoshop, more photoshop, more iphoto and then uploading to here. The most important ingredient is the subject - fortunately we have the atlantic ocean and its riches in our front yard!
