PainKiller Wednesday Afternoon

Made a run to the GT Hole wednesday afternoon in search of mahi-mahi. The crew was a fun mix - Travis, his son Josh was in from Alaska on his two week break from the Army, my son finished his 10th grade for the year, our local weatherman and Capt Jay. The stream was much further offshore, but who can pass up trolling in one foot seas?
Two hours of clearing weeds, plenty off fliers, one short strike from a suspected billfish, and one lost slinger at the boat -time to hit the bottom.
We ran a ways inshore and loaded the boat with a five man limit of B-liners, a few knot head BSBs, one trigger and a few other tasty fillets rounded out the box.
And one curious mahi-mahi happened by the boat while we were dropping baits!
Colorful day for sure!
