I hate to be a killjoy but, I would be VERY careful selling handloads. Unless you carry liability insurance, all it takes is one bad round to get sued. There are a lot of starving attorneys out there that would jump all over such a suit.

Not to quash your idea. DF has it right. Also as a shooter and loader myself, rule #1 is you don’t shoot some else’s loads unless you trust them implicitly. It doesn’t take but a 1/2 grain of powder to have catastrophic results in some guns.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I don’t trust my own hand loads all the time.
I constantly find myself wondering if it “sounds right”
Feel free to sell components, but I would never buy some one else’s loaded ammo unless it came from a shop running automated machines with insurance. Like Georgia Arms.
The High Road is a great forum for buying components though, even have a lot of SC locals. Plus lots of informed guys to help with recipes, and technique.

You also need an FFL to sell ammunition you manufactured…the ATF doesn’t like you to do so without a license. This probably goes for bartering as well.

while we are on the subject of reloading, who has the best price for primers? Need small pistol and large pistol, CCI or Win
Spareparts, I usually wait until a gun show is in town. I can get 1000 for around $30. I know that I can order then on line but you have to pay the haz-mat fee and shipping you are not saving a lot. Unless you are buying 10s of 1000s at a time.
Same with powder.
There is no way I would ever sell one of my reloads. I do not let anybody shoot them in a gun besides mine. Been reloading for 40 years and never had a boom.

I’m looking to buy at least 5000 of each, is there anyplace local that sells bulk at a decent price? PSA wanted $.04-.05 cent each. I’m trying ot get a bulk discount to get it down to at least $.03

Not selling loaded rounds. Site is mainly for support and trading of brass and lead. I need to probably change the format. To sell would need the FFL and im not interested in that. But thanks for the advice.

Just to be clear, you would need an 06 FFL if you wish to manufacture ammunition for resale. A basic 01 won’t satisfy the ATF for the purposes of manufacturing ammunition.
Tread cautiously but good luck on your venture.
