Has anyone ever put in from here and fished Horlbeck for reds or trout? If so, is it an easy launch? How is the boat traffic? Most importantly, how’s the fishing?

Used to be good, now it’s okay. That creek has been getting hit hard since Mt. P grew so much. If you do fish it, I would encourage catch and release. Can’t speak to launching a kayak there, but there’s a good bit of boat traffic. You should be fine as long as you aren’t paddling in the middle of the creek, though.

Haven’t been there in about a year, but they have a dock with a “kayak launch” there. You get in your kayak and “shuffle” your way out. I found
it somewhat difficult to use, especially coming in because you can’t get out and stand in the water. I did not do well there fishing, but that is
nothing new. Current is fairly strong in the creek also.
I’ve been fishing that creek for 30 years from the dock, from my boat and kayak. X2 on the catch and release. 
Lot of people fishing over there. That kayak dock does not make it easy to get in and out of a kayak.
