Redoing a pontoon and wanting to paint the aluminum panels that say Bass Buggy etc. Sanding and priming are a definite. Plan on using a Rustoleum type paint to roll on. Am I missing something? Not trying to over complicate things.

Aluminum primer. It is clearish blue. I cant remember the name but it is the only thing that didn’t let the black paint peel off a truck box after three years…

Zinc Chromate is primer for bare or sanded aluminum, it sprays on kind of a yellowish green. Also, Lowes sells a primer for alum., I think it’s Rustoleum. It sprays on white.
