Had great day on the water today. Had good friends aboard PaPasToy today. Had best friend and first mate Tommy, and good friends Jerry and Brad. Left the creek at 5:45 ran out at 43mph lines in water by 7:30. Fished the Scarp for about and hour and nothing. Headed to deep water found weed line in 500’ and the bite was on. caught 22 Maui in 2 hours. headed back to the scarp at noon and caught 10 more Maui. Caught some really big ones today.

You need to either slow down or pay attention in Murrells Inlet.
Seconded. It would be appreciated and a lot safer for the peons in small boats.
I have to admit , last season PaPa was coming in and he come’s in HOT
Being in a small boat it’s pretty intimidating … lets just say you keep your eyes on him and hope he see’s You !!!
Not that I claim to know a lot about anything and my boat is only an 18 foooter buy I catch shi* sometimes from other boats for going fast enough to to keep the bow up. To others it may seem im speeding past them, but truth is I know my boat and am aware of its wake. Trust me they are way better off if I keep the front of the boat up. Some guys seem to want you stop and idle by each boat you pass which is ridiculous, you’d never get anywhere in Murrells Inlet.
I also had a guy in Gtown set up his poles nearly completely across the channel and kept waving for me to stop drive all the way over into 12 inches of water to go around them. A lot of times even when something pisses me off I try to remember hell we’re all a$$holes in someones opinion.I have seen PT a few times and never had an issue except being jealous I dint have his boat.

Look people, it sucks to get waked in the inlet, but if you are in the main channel ( especially dead center of the markers) your world is gonna get rocked. I head out at 3:30 am and when I’m coming back in the last thing on my mind is worrying about your comfort in the main channel. I like to fish in the inlet too and on busy weekend in the Jonboat I head back in the creek! The only time Papas Toy has ever pissed me off is bc he passed me heading offshore and I had to stay at 10 mile! Keep up the good work PT! PS did you get new motors on that beast?? I thought I saw it with 275s last year??
I didnt say a word about his wake or anybody elses for that matter. I wasnt in the “Dead Center” of the bouys and my “world didnt get rocked” either. But when you are coming around the can bouys just before the rocks at WOT and dont see me heading towards you until the last second, thats a problem.
We dont need another no wake zone, we just need some people to use a little common sense. The Parasail boats, charter boats, idiots on jetskis/rental boats are all part of MI. Growing up here I have learned to deal with it. I just dont want to get run into because somebody is trying to figure out their plotter and not paying attention.
