Paradise Island Boat Ramp Question

I am new to the Mt.Plesant area, I have been putting my kayak in at the awendaw boat ramp (paradise island) for the past 4 months. In the summer the bite was fantastic catching anywhere from 2-20 trout per day, but now that the water turned colder and the big rain came through I can seem to catch anything. Can someone lend a newbie a little hometown advice on the fall/winter patterns? I have been fishing with DOA shrimp free line and under popping cork, grubs of various colors/size/tail, cut bait shrimp/mullet and etc. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks

I know a little about that area.

move alot. there’s very good trout fishin right there this month and into Dec. move. you will find them. when you do, slow down, & keep working that area. cover water with a plastic that you can work fairly fast. doa is too slow for prospecting. think points-the long grassy ones you see. if you can’t find em like that, troll or cast parallel, tight to the grasslines at high tide. cover water

you don’t need bait right now.

-wishes Macdaddy would come home
