I wonder what kind of repairs will be done? Maybe they’ll repair the dock?

You can still launch there on the weekends with limited parking. Work is only taking place Mon-Fri.

It was kinda of nice for yakkers that launching was a bit limited. Wonder what they are doing to it?
I hope they are fixing the drop off at the end of the ramp.

Heads up fellas. I used the landing today and it SUCKS! The pad they poured isn’t big enough, so they poured big rocks at the end where he drop off is. It is actually worse in my opinion. You also can’t back off the ramp sideways now due to huge rocks down both sides. Heard one guy at the ramp yelling about how much worse it is now. Check it out for yourselves but be careful at low tide or anywhere near it.

That sucks! Do you think I could launch a small (14’) skidd there safely? At what tide stages?
Hmmm, sounds like typical government efficiency. Hopefully they didn’t screw it up so bad that you can’t launch a kayak from there.
I saw 4 yak’rs out there today when I stopped by to have a look-see. I could not tell what if any improvements were made other than a small concrete pad at the top of the ramp and some rip rap on the sides.

there was a pad added at the top of Paradise last year did they enlarge it?
What purpose would it serve? The top of the ramp wasn’t undercut before they made the changes

I put in at low tide in my john boat, but I had to push it off from the ramp. I didn’t want to drive it past the pad into the rocks that they put at the bottom, and you can no longer back the boat down at an angle to either side of the ramp.
I was talking with other people at the landing and they said that it looks like they made it just for kayaks. So yeah, you won’t have any problem with a kayak out there.
