Today was a Thanksgiving breakfast since my wife had a ER shift at East Cooper starting at 11am and my daughter was going to be with the inlaws after that so I got to fish! I put in at Paradise around 10:45am. The forecast was decent but there was a stiff North Wind Blowing. My goal for today was to troll up to Guerins Bridge and back down. The wind was supposed to die down so I wouldn’t have that much help on the return paddle against the tide but oh well! I trolled 1/4 ounce Red Jig heads with Z-Man “Chicken on a Chain” on one side and “Opening Night” on the other. Last year at this time trolling in this area produced big numbers of large trout and also a few decent Stripers. Today I ended up catching about 6 small trout and 2 legal one’s to bring home. They were divided between the two flavors. My Fish Finder said the water temp was around 52 degrees but not sure about the accuracy. It was a nice 3 1/2 hour trip and I covered about 6 miles.
