Looking for a party boat near Charleston. Closest I have found is Amick Charters in Savannah and Captain Dicks in Murrell’s Inlet. Is there anything closer to Charleston?
mummichog- different kind of party.
he means a fish party, i think that’s what they call headboats up north. my father’s from up north…
answer is no, i’m afraid.
Doesn’t The Reel Deal operate a 6 person party boat? Check the site info on charters, they are listed in it.

The Reel Deal does “by the person” charters.

Call Mark Brown in Mt Pleasant. He runs the Teaser out of Shem Creek. He is rated for more than a 6 pack.
the teaser is an excellent choice, they can handle up to 12. You will have a good trip, I did a trip with them a few weeks ago.
Party/Head boats run differently. (At least up North) When you go on a Party/Head boat you don’t have to “usually” make reservations, you pay person, and they usually run daily, depending on the Marina and how busy they are. Most only cost about $60.00-$75.00 to go fishing.
We use to have one called the Thunderstar, but the word on the street is they are down in the Gulf now or something. It was run a little differently than what I was used to. Called for reservations, depending on when you called, determined on where on the boat your spot was. They packed the boat like sardines.

I went on the T/S in June 2008 and when you paid and where you got in line determined what spot you “picked” on the boat. They did not designate a spot for you. Also you could walk up and get on as well as long as they weren’t booked, BUT as Kut08 said, they booked and put something like 60-75 on that boat.

Thanks for all the replies, I should have been more clear. I usually fish solo and was looking for a party boat to jump on or a make-up charter to do some bottom fishing for bsb, snappers, grouper, etc. I don’t really have a set schedule so I never know when I am gonna have a day off. I was looking for something where I can show up and jump on or call the day before.
I would say the Calabash area fleet in N Myrtle would be your best bet IMO.
