Patching old screw holes

I got a new transducer and of course the old screw holes don’t match up. I’m also not ablessing to access the holes through the bilge area.

I was thinking of patching it with a marine epoxy and screws. Kind of a wet fitting with the combo.

Does anyone have a concern with that idea? Any other suggestions

Thanks

Fill the holes with thickened marine epoxy. It’s a good idea to drill them out a little first and make sure the core is dry. Then mount a piece of starboard on the transom using the original screw locations and 5200. Screw the new transducer onto the starboard plate. Now you can adjust or change them at will without drilling more holes in the boat.
