Pathfinder 1900 Trolling Motor

I have a 19 ft. Pathfinder and looking to install a trolling motor. Can anyone tell me if a bow mount with 55 lb. thrust will do the job? A friend upgraded and offered me a good deal. I know more power would be better but if this will work that would be great. THanks.

55lbs is a 12volt system
will it work, yes.
in the wind or current, not very well.
but an installed 55# unit is better than a 70# unit that is still in the box, on the shelf at the store

I’m now at www.teamcharlestonmarine.com

Too small. IMHO go with a 101 lb. That big of a motor is a huge help in heavy current even if you have a 19’

IMHO…i would go with the 70# 24v, it should pull that 19’ around all day on a single charge. storage is at a premium in your boat, the 101/36v requires an additional battery, which means 4 batteries on your boat, not to mention the additional weight. don’t forget the quick disconnect mount also.

definitely TOO small!!! I have an 80# 24V on my 177 Scout and would not want anything any smaller. 55lbs will not move your boat against the current

Got a 55# on my 17’ War Eagle and it gets me by, but not in strong current. Definitely need a 24V system for what you probably want to do.

i have a new 80# digital on my 19’ seapro cc and it will cause a wake on wide a#% open! my son got me a cordless remote for it for my b/day. it is now the bomb. i can sit in the back of the boat relaxed and having a beverage while fishing and just point and push the button. life is good in the boat.

Thanks for all of your input. My “friend” that was going to let me try it out decided deer corn was more important and sold it! Will have to save up for a new one.
