So had a great trip this past week with the family. And this visitor! I have never seen so many sharks in the shallow water. Anyone know why? Scared the heck out of me! I saw at least 4, and in the 8 years of going may have seen 2 or 3!!

these were front beach right in front of the Inn. I know we are in their water, guess I am just getting soft in my old age, didnt seem to bother the kids at all.
We put the word out that tourists and Ohioans were good to eat.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Its funny you say that, there are always new people we meet that live in Greenville with us, but I did meet a ton of people from Ohio, and they were not to kind when I sent my 3 yr old up to them with his Clemson hat on to say Go Tigers!!

this was right in front of the inn, but hey they are always there, kids always catching sharks in the early morning late afternoon. Still worth the risk of the great water and time with the family!!
Dear 77…Those look like dogfish, a member of the shark family. You had better be more concerned about another relative, the stingray. He’ll put a hurtin’ on you that Ajax can’t wash off. You won’t see that nasty critter, like those harmless dogfish, but he’s right there with them sittin’ on the bottom waiting for you to step on him…then it’s all over but the shoutin’.

Aaaah yes, Mr. Clemson. If the Ohio people were smart, and they are typcially not… they would have explained to your kids how the Universtiy was founded by a Yankee from Philadelphia…
Dear Jugg…While you are factually correct that Mr. Clemson was born in Philadelphia, his South Carolina bona fides were rigorously established by becoming John C. Calhoun’s son-in-law prior to bequeathing the land in his will to the State of South Carolina for the establishment of the University.
When I was a kid i was not afraid of them either.When i was little my brother and i would catch small sharks from the shore at Iop and go throw them into the swimming pool full of people. we would also take them up to the condo and take a bath and play with our sharks in the tub. There is always a bunch of sharks on the beaches in the summer.
I’d rather be a free man in my grave than living as a puppet or a slave.
