A short clip from a whole lot of video I shot on Saturday.
Fishing the Wando it was ON LIKE DONKEY KONG for about an hour. Didn’t matter what bait went in the water it was getting eaten. A lot of the time I’ll use the 3 rod prospecting method, but I couldn’t keep up with the action. I had my popping cork rig across my lap just sort of “resting”
A bigger fish would’ve been gone with my trout rod. I got lucky.

The camera mount is a PanFish from YakAttack Gear. I have a smaller version that mounts on the front of the cockpit, the PanFish Portrait. I got them with the Scotty base and RAM camera adapter. check them out at http://www.yakattack.us/
daddyjames - the pretty girl was playing on a float tube in the middle of the river…Didn’t publish that vid segment; don’t have any idea about the young lady’s age.
The camera mount is slick. The friction disks in the hadle let you have nice smooth pan shots, but keep it pointed where you last put it. That’s one of the better purchases I’ve made this year. The other money really well spent was the polarized filter for my GoPro Hero.
The difference between the GoPro and my Olympus 550WP is huge.
Almost lost a really nice rod and reel down in Venice last year. Set the rod down for one second to slip off my jacket and a big red crushed it. Nice video!
Thanks for the ■■■■■■■■ guys. I’ve been having a lot of fun with the GoPro camera lately; zip lines in Asheville, white water rafting the Nantahala, a little snorkeling, and shooting TONS of video in the yak.
Some of the vids become thoughts for magazine articles and others are just good stuff to share.
Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see regarding a kayak and I’ll give it a shot.
