9/0 with penn tuna sticks. Need to be respooled. What lb line, brand and color do you suggests. Target mahi , blackin and wahoo for the most part. Thanks

Momoi Diamond has a much higher breaking strength than the Hi-Catch, but the Hi-Catch is a good bit “softer” monofilament. Strictly for trolling, the Diamond is very hard to beat. On a 9/0, personally I would go 50# as 30# would have you probably close to 1,000yds of capacity to properly fill it vs around 650yds with 50# depending on what line brand and its diameter. There is no right or wrong here though for the most part, personal preference. Hope this helps

If you can fit that much 50lb on there, might as well do it. I’d rather have line that’s too heavy than line that is too light when that once in a lifetime fish eats the bait.
