$200 and a nice reel.Smooth drag and good to the touch.
Nice. I have a few Conflicts that I love for inshore fishing. Been wondering if I should upgrade to the Clash…
$200??? Tackledirect has the 2500 for $130 ($10 off $100 coupons around the internet). I just ordered a Penn Battle II 2500 for $74 after shipping.
If you pay 200$ for clash your are definitely overpaying. That reel is worth maybe the 130$ on TD.

Thanks for the input – I’ve been curious about those as well as the Conflicts. I’m pleased with my Battle II so far. Have you had the chance to really put it to the test on some fish? What size did you get?

Last Thursday and Friday I had a couple of great days, caught 23 reds all on Zman’s. I was using a ML Shimano Compre rod paired with a Conflict 2500. The reds ranged from 16 to 29 inches. I’m torn between the Conflict and the Quantum inshore Smoke 25 as my favorite, but they both have handled the abuse the fish have given them. I just picked up a 2500 Clash, hoping it works just as smooth as the Conflict.
I paid what Simon said it cost, spooled it and it had a nice rod .

And Simon works at Haddrell’s …
Haddrell’s is a Penn direct dealer, it has been brought to Penn’s attention that Tackle Direct is selling way below MAP pricing.
Penn tells its dealers what to charge for their product.

Stonoman just know you have an additional extra year warranty by purchasing locally, at the same place that is the only warranty service center in town. Some places cannot help it when other retail outlets are having trouble moving products, that they in turn dump for under cost to just create cash flow.
It’s just consumerism folks, all good
No one was bashing local dealers or stores. Pretty sure all that happened was discussion about it being on sale elsewhere.
Just picked up a penn spinfisher 6500 with 12ft tsunami airwave rod (first trip will be april 22 weekend). may be looking for a smaller one soon too. any suggestions. Will probably stick to Penn or shimano.
I just got my Penn 2500 and a Tsunami rod (7’ MH 1pc xfast tip) in from Tackledirect yesterday and they feel great. I’ll prolly get the line wet this weekend. Got it all after tax and shipping for $117 ($10 discount applied too).
TD is fast on their way to getting cut off by the big boys. Rules is rules!
