Any opinions on these reels? My bro just bought 1 and I was thinking about it too but wanted to know if anyone has used them.

I used the regular squalls without any issues for several years. I believe they are an upgrade from the TLD 25s. I now own the Squall 30VSWs and love them. Spooled with 40lb pink Ande. It’s plenty big for anything around here for 90-95% if your fishing. PM me if you’re interested and I probably get ya a really good deal.

I have a penn squall 50vsw on an 80 class bent butt spooled with 80lb test. I have had it for 2 years never had a problem. Actually about to buy another one you just can’t beat the price and it is a quality reel.

I have 4 of them. They work great. Same internals as the internationals but on a lighter frame. Great for Dolphin and Tuna. Wouldn’t suggest HSTing. Also have 5 of the smaller LD models and they all work great. Cheaper and lighter than the internationals and cost less as well.
