I use Wappoo Cut landing to launch my boat, but wish there was an alternative place for my friends to board the boat. I hate blocking the dock waiting on that late friend or filling up the Wappoo’parking lot with cars. Is there an easy location where friends can park and board the boat if I launch at Wappoo Cut?

Or the dock at Lockwood Blvd., I’ve picked up people at that dock on several occasions and they can leave their car as well.

Boyscout - Tell your friends to park on the gravel under the bridge if possible and double park if in more than one car. Then if you pull up to on the outside of either floating dock they should be able to load in little or no time. DO NOT pull the boat inside the docks and block the ramps and make sure that they have their belongings ready to make a quick entry to the boat. Good luck!

Traebaum - I do tell them to be mindful of the boat spaces, but I see plenty that don’t. I too cannot stand it when people leave their boat on the inside of the dock at the landing. If a boat is tied up on the inside I cannot load my boat on the trailer even using the middle. They are basically blocking the entire boat landing when they use the inside lane.

Boyscout, they threaten to tow your car if they find out you are just using their parking lot to go out in the boat.
I see people getting picked up at…the floating dock at Demetre Park.
