I have a fixed 5’x10’ pier head on a tidal creek and would like to add a jet dock or dock blocks for a Jon boat. I have been told I don’t need a permit, since it is not a permanant structure, but wanted to know if anyone had any first hand experience. thanks
yes you do- a 5x10 pier head usually means the creek is less than 20’ wide- no boat lifts, davits, drive on docks or jet docks allowed.
The people that sell those things tell potential customers all the time that they don’t need a permit.
