Turned the water off to the dock and drained the lines.Must have not drained all the way.Turned on the water and found 3 cracked places. Will go to HD tomorrow and see what i need to fix the mess???Is pex easy to fix???
Never fixed or messed with it Joe but it looks like it should be! Simple cut and splice!http://www.pexsupply.com/pex?gclid=CLyIuYikg7wCFUsV7AodMzEAmw
Thanks easy.My neighbor has the tools. The white pex cracked the blue and red are fine.I had to take what they had at HD to get the water going to the dock.May dump the white and get more blue.

Good thing your neighbor has the tools. That’s the expensive part.

Go with the dura pec it is orange and holds up longer. You can also get “shark bite” fittings that require no tools other than something to cut it with. You could use pruning shears for that matter to cut with. The pipe comes in either 10’,20’ or rolls of 100’. I know you can get them at Ferguson on rivers, or the Ferguson Express on Sam Ritt.

Joe,
It sounds like you have a belly in the line. Put hangers on the line in a shallow v with a low point drain at the bottom of said v. It only has to be a small angle.

Mr Joe - when I did my renovation I was told that PEX is great but you can’t leave it exposed to sunlight. The white will fall quicker than the colored pipe.

Wouldn’t it be a whole lot easier and cheaper to runs some garden hose out there? A couple of 100 footer’s from HD are cheap. You could unhook and drain it at the house spigot!
That PEX piping is some of that “Northern” crap. That being said, I have had much of the “Southern” piping fail, also. Copper and plastic.
So, as to your specific problem. Replace the white PEX with blue PEX. Problem solved.
Til the next problem, of course.
Yeah Joe, go with the Southern crap! Garden hose!

Trick question!
I was in a hurry and when the dock was being built told them i would run the power and water and save some$$$$.I decided not to get under the dock and set the water line and power on the side of the ramp all the way down to the pier head. Now i find the sun light fades the red pipe and turns it white. The white pipe allows algae to grow like crazy.i turn on the water and all this goo comes out until the line is cleared.I will fix what i have now and as soon as the weather warms up get some help and repipe the water and put it under the dock where it belongs.I may just put the pex in pvc?? Not sure what is easy for me.
I have 3 colors of pex due to the fact that the stuff was hard to find.I took what they had.No splice at any store i went to lucky neighbor had 4 .I hope to get to HD early and find some today after they restock.
May get pissed and just run 3/4 pvc the whole 500 feet??

Bigger; It’s the spelling thing! Spell check doesn’t work for me on this site. After I’m done typing at first glance it looks fine. After I post it and read it, a the, turns into a tha! So I correct it. Or I see that I could have said something better or in a more understandable way for the mass’s:smiley: I know, Preview:wink: Or just thinking about it and decide to add something like(who are you the Edit Police) [:0]
I need to replace all my pex.UV has turned it all brittle. Will start checking around for a better price then HD.Need about 600 feet of 3/4 blue??? Will put it under the dock and secure it.
