Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Good body on that young buck. Got a 6 on our lease that’ll be a hammer in a couple of years, he’s short but has the mass of a 4.5 already.

I am not sure what we can end up with on this tract, but the dominant rack feature seems to be height with a sharper turn-in on the deer’s right side antlers. Pretty symmetrical though. Brother killed a 5/6yr old 10pt last year that had a lot of mass and height but was only like 17" wide. Dad did cull a 4ish yr old 20" 7pt last week though. I think if we can get some deer measuring 125 inches eventually, we will be doing good. I actually should not have shot the deer above. It made me decide I need a better scope because I thought it had a bad right side antler as I saw him walking in the thick right at last light and then looked at his rack for about 1.5 seconds before his body got into my only lane to shoot in. Should have waited.
