Hah.
yeah, I asked her last night if she wanted to get up with us at 5 Saturday morning. I think she enjoys going out with her friends drinking cosmos or whatever those fruity drinks are on friday nights too much to commit to going stiper fishing at 6 in the morning on saturday.
You’ve got to be kidding me. That looks like fun. The New river is 15 minutes from my house in Bluffton and I haven’t done the striper fishing thing there. I had no idea. Only at night? Any tips on rigs, bait, tide, month - you know the routine. I would be grateful for some info. PLEEEAAASSSSEEE
She is a special gal. Hang on to that one!

1/4 oz red jig head with a white grub. Outgoing tide. Find a dock with lights and your golden(Palmetto Bluff has some great ones). Action is best from Nov. to Mar.

TreuBlue,
No, I haven’t shot a Cape Buffalo. The guy I bought my boat from did. I kept the name. Sorta unique ain’t it?
Thanks for the tips. You catch them only at night? Do you use Cook Landing?
Thanks again. See you on the water.

MBOGO. I use cooks. I’m sure you can catch them in the day but I only go at night. There are always one or two lurking just below the lights. A lot of times you can see them hanging right in front of the dock. Its a hell of a spectacle. Similar to tarpon around bridges at night in the keys. Any dock with lights on the water around Palmetto bluff will generally have a fish or two from november to march or april. If you know anyone with a dock on the new river tell them to put spotlights on it and I guarantee you will have some action. I have also caught reds and trout on the same rig at night. Good luck.
