Just saw on local news where someone turned loose a big bull shark, caught at Tybee. They had em strung up like horse thief with a cable or rope,I guess when they weighed em, I never fish for sharks but have caught plenty when bottom fishing at reefs or making an attempt at tarpon. Hey shark fishermen, does this big boy have a chance of living? I just don’t beleive he could, why do people have to stress such nice fish for a picture?
Cuz they don’t care. I have never understood killing for the sake of a picture.

I think Shark(s) would have a better chance than most but regardless It’s such a shame and in poor taste. We should respect the fish we’re catching for food or for sport and do our best by them . Plus it’s a really bad P.R move for hunter(s) and Fishermen people already get touchy when you tell them you’re a hunter/fishermen, but they tend to be okay with it when we have a fish fry or a grill-out : /

You can’t catch fish on a dry line
I thought the exact same thing. No way that shark lived after having that cable around him like that. On a separate note, saw an article on cnn.com this morning about a guy in Nantucket that hooked one in the surf, wrestled it to shore, then let it go. Pretty crazy, but he never really hurts the fish.
There once was a guy from Nantucket…
