we have been kicking this idea around for a while, and wanted to get yalls opinion.
we buy pinfish in the keys every year, and they are great grouper bait.
would you guys be interested in us stocking live pinfish.
looks like cost is gonna be $10 per dozen
I would buy several dozen at the time depending on size and when your store is open in the morning…
Let me know when you have them.

I would buy. ? Would they keep overnight in a bait trap tied to my boat at the dock?

they keep much better than shrimp
not as good as mud minnows
they would live indefinately in a pen tied to a dock
we open at 7 on saturdays, but that is flexible
a big yes on buying the grouper bait sized pins
OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BECOME THE ENEMY OF FREEDOM.
Yes, I would buy them but 7 am won’t work for me. What can you do for a group that doesn’t get into town until 8 pm friday and wants to leave at 4am ??
Jeff
Buy them the night before?

Or maybe scales opens at 3 am?
Very hardy baits. Put them in the water and get them in the am.

Will you have them pre-rigged? I don’t want to get my hands slimy…
Chris,
For an extra expense will you be willing to deliver?
Jeff
for the after hours crew, we have been toying with somekind of combination lock storage boxes with areation.
skinnee
for you, i will pre rig them, hand pick them so they will all be the same size, and we will work with pfizer to develop a soaking solution to keep the fish extra hearty, and eliminate all slim and fishy odor.
quote:Thanks Chris! I prefer just to have a barrel swivel on the end of a pre-cut leader hanging out of the baitwell, so that I can just attach my snap to that one and pull the livie straight out of the baitwell without getting any mess on myself.

You gave up on the pinfish training lessons I see.
I told you they don’t like that much pepper on their shrimp legs.

sounds good to me. would love to save time rather than catching them one by one on hook and line.
Wanna kill fish, then let’s go!
You can keep pinfish alive in a bait trap for weeks. Just be sure to feed them from time to time…
