Pink Egret?

Never saw one of these, it was back lit by a setting sun, so I could be wrong. Gorgeous bird, not too big, like a small snowy?

Never seen a pink Egret but, I have seen pink Ibis.

Might have been a roseate spoonbill. They have been around the last couple weeks.

Especially after the big July 4th blowout ,haha, sorry I didn't get any pictures. But getting back on topic,I'm thinking like DF and saying pink ibis.I wish you had a photo, looks like we may need barb on this topic also.

Saw one in the harbor a few weeks ago. Never seen one before. I didn’t even know they existed. It did have a fairly flat bill.

This

After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.

I saw a flamingo last weekend at Limehouse.

Spoon bills have been in the marsh at the house for several weeks now.

I’ve seen a few from time to time in a couple of duck impoundment areas off the Asheepoo and Edisto. Never off the Combahee though. First one I saw was about 5 years ago. Can’t remember who but someone on this site I.D. it for me. They really stand out.
