Ok I know I am going to get alot of cheap shots for posting this. I was on my way to pick up some rods I bought from ex-conn on the swap shop forum and I swear I saw a Pink Flamingo. I had my wife with me we were on the bridge just south of red top feed store on 17 south it flew less than 50 yards in front of my truck. Wife says if she wasn’t with me she would never believe it. So tell me am I the first person in the history of the low country to report a Pink Flamingo sighting?
Nope! I’ve got them in my yard all the time!
It was probably a Roseate Spoonbill. I thought the same thing the other day near the Dawhoo bridge when I first saw it. Check out the pictures on the forum Called “First time seeing this!!”
Dang it Easy. That’s twice today. Good job.
Sorry, but I just couldn’t pass it up!
You need to keep those things on a leash and not let them fly all over getting all of us excited.
Ok I’m not alone I kind of figured it was not a Flamingo unless it escaped from a zoo or the Clemson “vegetable research center”
I’ll be honest it really caught my attention that bird is bright pink! Lived here for 10 years first large pink bird I’ve ever seen.
No your not alone. Like I said, I thought the same thing you did when I saw it this past Saturday.

No cheap shot here. Did a search for an old post that I did but all I got was 500 - Internal server error.
I believe as seasick posted Roseate Spoonbil… saw a pink bird as well pretty cool
Yeah they can’t be common I spend a lot of time on the water and have never seen one they are really big. I am going to borrow easy’s decoys and see if I can call one in!
they are way bigger than that pink ibis… seen only one so far this year
I have a friend that posts pictures on facebook of a roseate spoonbill that lives in Ellis Creek. I have never seen one, but seems like they are here.
have been down in the ace basin for the last 9 months

We’ve got spoonbills at my place. The are a frequent occurrence here. If you know where to look you’ll find them. This is the time of year I see them most it seems like.
BG if you want to shoot some with the camera let me know.
This one was near my house.

Jealous of Southern Comfort:question: That was high school drinking liquor, along with cherry slow gin, MD20/20 and Boonesfarm:smiley:
How is that trolling motor install coming along?
If I put one of those pink flamingos in the yard my wife would beat me to death with it.
