I was telling keywest15 yesterday morning how we were probably going to catch red porgies, a.k.a. silver snapper, pinks, etc., at every spot we’d fish all day. We did.
They are a pain when you aren’t targeting them because of how crazy they go when you take them out of the water to get the hooks out of their little hard mouths.
We usually do kind of like with the BSBs and try to have a boat limit that’s 2 inches higher than the official min. length. Cleaning is easier on the bigger ones, and there’s the extra meat.
