Pitt Street Pier?

Any sheeps? Would any of you spend the money in an attempt to catch one or is it TOTALLY out of the question? Taking the kids out to enjoy the weather and thought I’d try for whatever species will hit. Also, any good crabbing out that way? Help a fisha out! Thanks y’all!

Possible, yes, I’ve seen them the size of trash can lids out there. But I’ve had those same ones look at my fiddler, look up at me in disgust, and swim off.

Crabbing has been slow there lately but still enough for kid fun.

Good deal! I’m gonna throw everything in my arsenal out to get these kids a fish or some crab action. The sheepies will be for my entertainment even though they have evaded me all of my fishing career…

That’s why they call it fishing, not catching…

Just take some shrimp and maybe squid on a bream hook, cut in small pieces. More predictable. May only catch pinfish, but kids don’t care. Beware the toadfish, they swarm out there sometimes.

You might encounter some sea trout out near the end of the pier, but don’t beat any area to death. If you don’t catch anything, keep moving, the trout are going to be stacked up and hard to find on the pier. Mud minnows or trout tricks/Z-man paddle tails would be what I’d try.

Look out towards the shallow part in the middle at the end of the pier
