I’m 17 and have been hunting for a while now. I’ve killed about 6 deer, but have never harvested a true book. I’ve had some close calls. I missed a decent one last year. Let some walk. Had one get chased right under my stand. I knocked a little one down earlier this year but couldn’t find it. My uncle recently moved and I don’t really have anywhere to hunt. All I want to do is kill a buck. Do y’all have any recommendations on where I can go that is $400 per day or less and harvest a decent mature 8 pointer. That is what I want to ask from my parents for Christmas. The only gift I want any suggestions on lodges would be great. Thank you.
P.S. Moree’s Sportsmans Perserve is sweet but I’m guessing they are ridiculously expensive.
I’ve seen Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge on the Internet
Cowden plantation, in Jackson SC. Its 10,000 acres and I have had the privilege to hunt it several times. This property its owned by Kenny Jarrett, the maker of the Beanfield rifle. Its a great time up there, Goodluck
To add to my earlier post they have a lodge, nothing special but it is livable. I have stayed there many times pretty cozy.
That is a ton of land

Beautiful place, haven’t been there in 18 years. Things are probably a bit different now but be prepared to make some long shots.
