Places to fish near Folly

Just got my first boat. John boat w/ a tiller outboard, for rivers/creeks. Been surf fishing for a while but not much experience inshore from a boat. Live on James Island and wanted to know some good places to try and what to use.

Fish all through the Folly River, put your time in you will find places that hold fish. Be careful on a John boat in the Folly, it can get ugly quick, no your weather for the day you pick to fish

great advice. i have seen that river w what looked like four foot seas in it and only hours earlier it was calm. I would start working docks with mud minnows,shrimp or mullet on a cork or carolina rig. seriously, be careful in the folly river in a jon boat.

Thanks for the advise. I have been out a few time now in the Folly and the Stono. Not too bad yet, i didn’t push it though. Stayed close to the landing.
