I’m a Charleston native, but I’m new to having my own boat. I have a 5 year old black lab, and I want to take her out with me, but I’d like to find a couple spots I can pull up to with the boat, and anchor for a bit so she can run around. Looking for recommendations for locating sandbars or information on what islands allow me to do this. Please PM me if you feel like sharing.

I believe that Cumming’s point is still dog friendly. Sandy point at the end of Kiawah. And there’s several hummock islands along the Stono River that you could visit and also the sand bar or “red neck riviera” near Limehouse boat landing is an option.
