Any recommendations on good places to park and walk flats at high tide near MtP/Sullivans/IOP? Trying to avoid being ticketed, towed, or accidentally trespass.
I will take any recommendations of where I might have a chance at reds, trout or flounder on foot #noboat
I hope you get some responses. Most people put time and effort into finding their own flats, so they guard the spots and don’t just openly share. Google Earth will give you a good idea of places to go based on geography/topography. Tickets shouldn’t be too big of a concern as long as you aren’t impeding traffic flow or in a clearly marked “no parking” zone. I have never waded but if I did I would give you some general areas. Good luck.
May want to look into getting a kayak. Cheap way to get on the water and you can launch then paddle to a flat and walk. Just a thought.

If only your UN was MtPGamecock I would share some great places. I had na kayak, then a 12ft john boat now a 16ft bay boat. I have found inshore the bigger the boat the less you catch. Buy a used kayak. Ive had great success in less than 1 mile from:
Sol lagare landing- go left
Bowens Island - go either way
Folly landing - go either way
Each place you can find a flat at high tide or a bank to park on at mid to low. I second the google earth idea.
I almost forgot - walk on the beach. My son and I have done quite well at Sullivans and IOP. Gotta find the right spot. Bigs reds start to turn on good in the next month or 2
I called that number, the guy that answered had a bad lisp and sounded middle eastern. He said “Achmed’s Camel Emporium” and then yelled “Allahu Akbar”!
