I live real close to the stono and could hear the plane engine for like 3 hrs. This is like the third crash I’ve heard/seen so know the sound. Did any one else here it who lives close to the ji airport on the James island side? The report now is no planes missing. But something had our coast card in such a hurry they hit the stono bridge. Just wanted some follow info.

Crazy story! So a plane disappeared from radar…you heard the “crash”…coast guard boat looking for the plane crashed into a bridge…all 6 coast guard passengers were taken to MUSC…and now 2 days later and no plane has been found?!?
When the planes crash you can here the engine run for a long time, sometimes hours. Imagine being on the tarmac, that’s what it sounded like by my house. It woke me up and I went out side then heard about the crash. I tried to sleep through it but the rpm was bouncing up and down and was super disruptive. I can fall a sleep with constant noise but the up and down would wake me every few minutes it reved up. A few years ago one crashed and was stuck on full throttle for like 30 minutes. These are smal planes not the jets that fly in.
How is it possible that there can be a crash out there yet they can’t find a plane? That just doesn’t seem possible to me for so many reasons.
