are you running in your tidewater 216 150 suzuki? If so- I don’t think your going to have enough boat to get out there for swords. Need to go some what deeper

weather looks good on wednesday- but you swordfish at night, I have nothing against you but i’m not sure I would go 60 miles out in a 21ft boat at night- I still wouldn’t do it in the day. If you want to make a nice long trip out, I’ll give you the heads up and you can ride with us

First year shrimp baiting. So in making my poles I used 1" PVC pipe at 10’ long and a 1’ piece of galvanized pipe in one end hammered to a flat blade for getting through oyster beds.

pro tip… Don’t set up on oyster beds. This creates a situation that is catostrophic to your net.

I’m also looking for a break in the weather. It is possible we will try for the swords during this week. Keep me posted.
what’s wrong with a 21 foot boat it’s a deep v . thats why i was lookin to see who’s going out anytime soon so i don’t have to be out there alone. mal i hope the weather breaks. anyone else think it a bad ideal for 21’6 boat to go out that far.

where you sword is usually deep in the stream when weather pops up there it is a differnt story than when you are not in the stream seas can go from flat to ten foot in 30 min and its dark and usually alone gas is another issue i had a friend who left the bahamas on a 35 center consel with full tank of gas ran out before making it to florida only an 80 mile trip stuff happens out there
Lone ranger, I heard about the new boat name from jeff- Nut driver- sounds good, but I just started getting used to gut wrench, heard it’s a cubera.

I wasn’t inviting on the gut wrench (I heard you gotta know someone to get on that boat:), I was inviting on Motley crew, tom’s 28ft robalo

I agree, A tidewater 216 holds somewhere around 70 gallons which is pleanty of fuel for a 140 mile out/in/drift trolling on a 150. My only concern is weather coming up and a wae swamping the motor and having no way to get in, it happens more times than you think. I wouldn’t be worried about the boat sinking, it’s a single motor application that adds a lot of what if’s. all it takes is one good cross wave and it’ll shut you down, if you have 2 motors your chances area little better
