Build it out of wood?

We have had several platforms on a couple of boats used in the past. They work great. Go look at the indoor/outdoor carpet and Lowes and Home Depot. You can use the stair tread grip tape too but carpet is quieter and it’s cheap. It will last you about two seasons then tear it off and replace it. When I first started shrimping with Onepole many years ago he used to have a piece of carpet that he put down in the bottom of the boat so it would be quiet when he was clearing or setting the net down.
Horsefly
Rhino liner paint. You wont slip and it will last. Another option it to paint it with anything and then sprinkle sand very lightly into the wet paint. It will stick and add traction on anything. Been doing it on wood 4wheeler bridges for years.
thanks you guys.been getting a lot of replies about the paint and sand
A bow platform is about the best thing you can add to a center console boat…
I’ve 4 now…two for my own boats and two for friend’s boats that I also shrimp on…
Here’s the one on my Pioneer 180. I bring a piece of carpet to lay on it now.
Paint and sand for non-skid works great.

I got the platform built and covered.i covered it with some indoor/outdoor carpet.will put up pics when i get them added…
I used the bottom of son’s small swimming pool after the dog rip a hole in the side. Mounted it on top of a wooden platform made from OSB. Works great. I have had it for 5 seasons and no rips in it and protects the wood. It is not slippery when wet.
