Right now we are stationed at Ft gordon, ga, me and friend drive to the piers alot, well we both leave GA around the 25th of July,im going back to California and he is going back to Indiana,we would really like to find someone that could take us out on a boat to do a little salt fishin for reds, mahi mahi, or anything with some decent fighting size, we have takin the Thunderstar out once and that was hell, we basically paid to tangle lines, we will gladly pay $30-$40 a piece for gas, we would like to do this around the 18th-19th or the 20th of July, we would greatly appreciate it, half day or a full day, doesnt matter as long as we can catch some fish, thanks- Eric
So are you going to be around the Charleston Area? 30.00 to 40.00 inshore would be fine but if your asking fellas on here to take you offshore for 30.00 to 40.00 I think they will require alot more than that espically for ice, bait, gas, ect. Not trying to be a jerk just letting you know the scoop. I could put yall on some fish around here if you wish. Get busy sometimes so I will need a heads up and even then I could be tied up. GL

Being a Marine, I can understand things do come up, that are completly out of your control… but a phone call or email, or SOME attempt to prevent the other party from getting screwed is a must. Sorry to hear about that man. Its a shame, because I bet next time someone (not even just military, anyone) needs a ride, you might not be so willing.

That’s pretty bad of them to not show up. It’s BS.
Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…

I dont think so… they said around the 17th, and payday is the 15th, and the no show post was on the 17th, so they had plenty of money… been there, done that… they could have paid for it… no excuse, and definately no excuse for a no show, no call, no nothing.

Patrick,
That is some CRAP, man. The no-show, no call is one of my worst pet peeves. That’s one reason why I always prefer to have at least a couple of known friends of mine in the crew for a given trip offshore. Inshore, I would just blow it off and go by myself or something, but it would still upset me. This kind of thing is where people got that “nice guys finish last” stuff, I guess. It isn’t true though. It might not make any difference, but I give you credit for trying to be a nice guy to these boys. Take care–and call me sometime to do some fishing.
Gotcha Covered,
