What’s the recommended spark plug gap for a Merc 150 2 stroke?

per the manual: NGK BPZ8HS-10, gap .040 in. (1.0 mm)

Do the plugs need to be “indexed” on a Carbed motor?

no. indexing is for ficht / etec.

I will need to open my gap a little. I set them yesterday at .032"
