Poached, cornholed or fried?

Went to a walk to spot yesterday morning that I had been to 15 times before and only seen a few. I pulled up there was a nice red about a foot from the bank. Caught him before my feet even hit the water. He was released without further altercation.

Caught another and as I’m reelin it in two country guys drive by. They watch me land the fish. They were kind enough to ask if they could watch- sure no problem. Durn perverts. They drive off and not more than 20 minutes later they are across the causeway. I knew they would be back, but that was pretty quick. At least they did not jump on my side. If these guys figure out how to catch the tailers that spot should be cleaned out in no time. They did not look like they releas anything other than in ole Crisco Bay.

I don’t really care, it is right off the road. I thought it was sort of comical. Oh well. Another one bites the dust. Hopefull they were skunked.

This is what they ate:

Good 'ole chernobyl (Borski) looking fly.

I have guys walking and floating all around me while I fish. They usually don’t produce much. It isn’t the spot, it the fisherman. Good fishing on your part. Nice report.

Before those two showed up a kayaker came within casting distance of me. I just sort of stared at him. Why move in on someone a stones throw from a road if you have a boat to get away from the crowds. Maybe it was the spottails doing cartwheels around a hummock…

When I tied this one I forgot to put the hackle legs on it for the full effect. It doesn’t seem to bother the spottails.

Exactly! Hungry fish, eat.
