Easy ride out today for a change. Ran 57 on the way out and the way back in. Pushed offshore past the 380 and pulled it back. Trolled around good weed lines and rips but nothing. Kept pushing further offshore and ran into a huge rip. Finally our first knock down at 1:30. Put a 30 pounder in the box. Picked at a few here and there. Then we had a slinger hit the outrigger, as we were throwing her in the box the 80W gets smoked. Huge bull on. Never made any type of run and came in the boat in 2 minutes. Trolled after that and had no hits, decided to call it and headed 80 miles back to the dock. Ended the day with 6 dolphin. I’ll let y’all decide what big boy weighs.

It’s bigger than the 2 25lbers we have caught past 2 trips so my guess is greater than 25 . Nice catch. Sure must be nice to hoss them in on an 80w versus a TLD25 With 30lb mono
53.4 unless you are 5’6. I love it when they come right to the boat when its a fish like that. I thought dolphin that desirable only hit TLD 25s. I just read the prior post…TOO FUNNY
