Took the itching youngen out to be scratched at high tide yesterday evening since the tide would be to my liking…water was every bit 1.5 feet higher than expected so Debbie was beating my confidence down and then i remembered, Daddy didn’t raise no quitter and neither am I. We found close to 15 fish that we saw barely cruising just under the surface, but with the water sitting 4’ rather than 2’ the fish just cruised over her lure and never saw it. She had 1 fish kiss her bait and that was it. We got to watch clock work happen when the tide shifted and sun set 1 by 1 they headed to the ditches to be in deeper water by dusk. Teaching lesson for her since we discussed last trip how water height can make or break you on tailing fish. No pics because 1.5 hours to fish and that was pushing it
