I have a 1756 triton aluminum I want to put a polling platform on. A good friend of mine has a fab shop and will build it for coast. I have heard Jon boats pole better from the front but I want the height and be able to pole while someone else is fishing off the bow. Has anyone ever seen or had a Jon boat with a platform. How do the pole? Should I have it mounted to the gunnels or transom / deck? if anyone could post some pics of what they have, that would be a great help. Any info or suggestion welcome. thanks

This one I just finished it’s on a 16’ skiff, just ran the front supports to the bench seat instead of mounting them on the sides.

48 qt. cooler will get you by. Lot cheaper and you can throw a few cold mammies in there. Dual purpose. But I am a cheap a$$ and my jon is not worth the money to get crazy with additions.
