Have any of you used the Poli-Glow product to restore the luster to your gel coat? I see the commercials on TV, seems like it is easy to apply and their results look good. Just looking for some real world experience as I’m getting ready to detail my '97 skiff. I sually use On & Off to get rid of the stains, then wax it real good. Poly-Glo is supposed to last a year or more. Thanks!
some of the poly waxes will last longer than a carnuba based wax and are easier to apply. Still need to clean surface good first.
BUT DO THEY SHINE AS WELL? MY 2009 SEA HUNT TURNS DULL AFTER A WEEK IN THE OCEAN AND I USE REJEX . WHAT IS THE BEST WAX FOR A BOAT ?

Sea Shield products work really well.

I used Poly Glow on my badly oxidized black hull to try to buy a couple of more years before it had to be repainted. It worked ok. After applying, the boat was a glossy black and looked good if you stood 10 feet away. Closer, you could see imperfections. It does need to be reapplied every year, and some say it is a pain to get off, but my boat was ready to be painted anyhow so it was sanded off.
It’s not something you would put on and see if you like and then go back to wax next year. If you do it, you are committed to it until you bite the bullet and paint.
That’s the input I was looking for, thanks much. I’ll stick to my regular way which was working well. I thought Poly Glow might be a miracle product. Sounds good, but not quite a miracle.
