Pond fishing

I am fishing a pretty extensive pond system this coming Saturday. I spend 99.9% of my time in salt water so I thought I would ask. What is working right now for largemouth some of them very large in the 8-12# class.

Been having good success with creature baits ever so slightly weighted with black worm weights, blues/greens/purples.

NED rig has been good too…hell I got them to eat a Zman Slim Swim!

Or, ole trust Senko always works.

Thank you for the help.

Andy, depending on how much muck and laydowns in the pond I’d like you to try our weedless jig. Come by the shop if you can and I’ll set you up.

Ha I did not think that picture loaded. I need to re-size it. My phone froze up while loading it. Yes they worked well. I rigged a lizard a little unconventionally with one and that did the trick after several attempts at other lures and combinations. We had a front hitting that day and it had the fish a little goofed up. They work great Dave and I appreciate you letting me try them out.

Fished my pond yesterday using a rebel top water popper. Nothing big just a few in the 3/4- 1# range. You can’t beat a good splashing strike from top water lures!

Try a Cotton Candy Chartreuse lizard. I sure like the look of that Weedless jig eye on Optikers web sight.
