Any one know the name of the popping cork and tandem jig combo? Maybe its simply made up from Cajun thunder, wire and jigs?
Its not a very complicated rig. Just take a cajun thunder cork, and put your best confidence soft plastic under it. Chuck it wherever you would a live shrimp, and work it back to you. I have fished in the gulf and they don’t even use popping corks. They use these big bream corks with plastics underneath. Vary it, and use whatever works best for you. When the trout are chewing, I dont think it really matters.
Its the tandem jig I’m really asking about. Some sort of wire configuration.
There are several float rigs out there that have a rigid wire on it. Most have swivels/beads above and below the float and some have a weight (usually a bullet weight) below the float. Cajun Thunder makes one, DOA has a similar rig and there is one called a Flats Equalizer. There are probably more, that’s all I know.
yeah, never seen a tandem on wire- sorry.
the DOA/popping cork pre-rig is called a “deadly combo”… i know that’s not what you’re asking, just seems like a really quick way to spend $6.50 to $9

if you find a picture of the rig you’re talking about, i’d like to see it out of curiosity.
H & H tackle makes a tandem shrimp/ popping cork rig but it doesn’t have 2 wires.
