I was thinking that a photo of that gator trout’s mouth would show how big his fangs were.
I guess all that fertilizer works on the fish too.

You can’t mount sea trout cause they are too greasy and the mount would only last 2 or 3 years before it went to crap.
Actually, he could do a fiberglass recreation with pics and measurments, and still be able to release the fish. I agree that it should have been released. After working in the golf construction and maintenance area for several years, there is no way I’d eat a fish out of one of those ponds!
GATOR!!!

What a fish. I like the Red with the Marlboro on slide 4 too. That bad boy got released into the Crisco
Blown away. Wow!
Real skiffs have tillers :o)
Now that IS a big old gator!
This site (Weight vs. Length Chart for Seatrout, Spotted) says a 36" Sea Trout is 17.9lbs, which would have been a state record!

I know a pond on Daniel Island that never gets fished with a few Trout over 25" …

The thing about a trout that size is it simply can not exist without a picture. What do you think would happen if this guy posted a report without a picture on here?
I would’ve killed it.

Such anger for the trout haha
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

yeah, nothing like stagnant golf course runoff to get me excited about killing a big breeder.
ragin, they’re colloquially referred to as “salt ponds” because they get inflow on spring tides, bringing in all manner of shrimp, crabs and fish- commonly as larval or juvenile forms- that are henceforth subjected to being shot while in a rather large barrel.

If you have the pleasure of meeting barbawang, you would accuse him of teaching that seminar, not attending it. Smart cookie.
That’s why he’s pulling in those big DNR bucks! Seven fiddy an hour I believe, plus tips!
