You’d be amazed at what a fresh water bath followed by a fabric softener overnight soak will do for an old net.
The hot pavement aids afterwords in removing any leftover tangles, spotting and fixing small needed repairs with mono, and fast dry for storage.
Some guys like storing them in a bucket, but I like hanging mine out of any direct sunlight.
Plus, it smells like ocean breeze this year, so there’s that.

It is indeed last Saturday in Knoxville. This is the 44th year my family has been sitting in the same 4 seats.
The cigar thing on the 3rd Saturday in October probably can’t be stopped, even if they tried. It was a big thing in the 1950’s, then faded out. In the mid 1980’s UT fans started doing it in Tuscaloosa again because they were on a roll and it pissed the homers off. Since then it’s become a tradition and pretty much understood you only smoke when you win.
They even pretty much turn a blind eye to the devils lettuce anymore, so the stogies get by easy.

3 of the 5 teams left are ranked, but that being said i think 3 wins is doable. would love to upset the taters at end of season. if that happens and we go to a decent bowl we will go.
