Has anyone replaced the bushings on the transom bracket of a power pole. Mine is a 10’ Blade, and the bushings (including the originals) do not seam to fit into the recess that the are supposed to. I cannot believe that i am to force them in (either severely deforming or breaking them) which would require several pairs (and hands) of channel locks??? any help would be appreciated.

I have 2 sets of bushing waiting for me to install.
Have you checked YouTube or power pole website for videos?
Got it done with help from powerpole customer service. I was sure they did not fit, but with my wife lifting up on the power pole, and me slowly and gently tapping the bushings in with a punch as she continued to slowly raise the pole, we got them in. I then rotated them to the correct position (I had made and alignment mark prior to placing them) with the same punch. After tightening the bolt, I then used a larger punch to seat the other half of the bushing. As it seated it stripped a small ring of plastic off the back side of the new bushing, which apparently is normal.
I think they need better instructions for this procedure. The rest of the replacements were a breeze.
