Power Pole technician?

Having some issues with my power pole and hoping it is just air in the system but it may be something more difficult to fix. Anybody know somebody who works on them in the area? Thanks for any leads.

Excuses? I’ve heard them all!

Have you talked with the guys at Power Pole to see if you can diagnose the problem? They helped me work through my issue. Very good group to work with.

X2 on that…developed a leak around the push fitting where the tubing goes into the pump…called them, two new ones on the way and no charge even for shipping!!!

What is it doing? Installed my own and havent had any issues, just curious and I may be able to help.

It is slowly deploying once it is up, pump works in both directions but once you raise it up it will slowly deploy back down. Have read that this can happen from air in the lines and to just cycle it fully both ways a couple times to get the air out so I’m trying that tmrw afternoon. Have been in contact with the guys at powerpole, theyre a big help and nice to work with, but they cant tell me much until i tell them what pump it is which is the last resort as it is in my ranger and the pump is underneath the floor so i would have to pull up a floor section to get to it.

No visible fluid leaks?

Dropped it in today and cycled it several times and it repressurized and seems to be cycling faster and with more power than before, unfortunately now there is a slight leak coming out of the bottom of the hydraulic pump that raises and lowers the pole (this wasnt there when it was having the problem but now that it seems to be fixed theres a leak…seems backwards but it’s true), at least its not the pump

Not sure if this is your issue or not.

Make sure the hydraulic line is pushed all the way in the fitting. My PP is several years old, but if your is like mine, push the fitting in and then try sliding the hyd line in until snug.

My fittings were leaking and I ended up ordering new ones from PP, cut the old ones off the hyd. line and replaced with new ones.

do u mean a leak at the hydraulic cylinder? This is what I suspected when I read your first post. As the other guys said I suspect your poly tubing wasnt pushed in all the way. We have those fittings on some of our equipment at work, they are ok, but compression fittings seem to hold up better, any way hope it works good now.
