2003 Johnson 115 4 stroke. My power tilt motor will not cut out at full down trim (will run as long as I hold down the switch), and will not move up at all (will click). I saw a wire on the port side of the engine frayed and corroded (white/yellow stripe). I’m hoping I found the culprit, but knowing my luck it is something totally unrelated. Help, please - and thanks in advance for the advice.
white and yellow stripe probably isnt related to trim
that is a suzuki motor with a johnson paint job
sounds like a trim solenoid
slightly larger than a film canister
red green and blue wires the one with the blue wire is probably the bad one
