PowerPole

I have a sea hunt triton 225 and am thinking about adding a powerpole (or two) and am looking for advice. Is one pole enough ? Can anyone comment on the different models they offer.

stono has one, ask him, I know the times we have went out on his we have had no problem and if I recall his is 21 I htink

One is enough. Look into the new blade. My buddy Chris Condon just got the 10’ blade on his 22 Pathfinder and loves it. He’s at the IOP Marina if you want to check it out. The 8’ XL would also work on your rig for less bucks. Two would be great if money isn’t an object, but one would be enough. If I had a bigger boat I would get two so the boat wouldn’t swing back and forth and pull my baits tight.

No, I have 2 have had 2 now on two boats and have fished off of boats with only one and if you don’t mind “spinning” then 1 is your solution. However if you want to set up, stay put, and retain your casting angle, get 2 poles. Go see Clinton and the crew at Berkeley Outdoors Marine in Monks Corner for Power Pole help and great deals. Those guys are the masters of rigging them and getting the right setup for people. They did my former bass boat and did a terrific job.

I bought a “poor mans” power pole and I love it. It’s made by “Stick it”. Wang poles is another mfg. The work great and cost a fraction of the money you will spend on a power one…<$100 .

Thanks Fishinmyot ? I bought a stick it this week and it works well. I got the 8 ft one and used the lanyard. I think I am going to look into the engine mount.
